OPAQ Networks, a Herndon, VA-based network security cloud company, closed a $22.5m Series B round of financing. The round was led by new investor Greenspring Associates, with participation from Columbia Capital and Harmony Partners. Hunter Somerville, Partner at Greenspring Associates, will join the OPAQ Networks’ Board of Directors.

Israeli IoT Startup Axonize Scores Investment From Deutsche Telekom

Israel-based Internet of Things (IoT) startup Axonize locked in an investment from Deutsche Telekom to complete its Series A funding round. The IoT company secured a total of $6 million in the round, which was led by Israeli venture capital firm Meron Capital. Existing investors StageOne Ventures and Cornerstone Venture Partners also contributed.

Arkera Raises £4m in Funding

Arkera, a London, UK-based artificial intelligence platform for personal investing, raised £4m in funding. The round was led by XTX Markets and Alan Howard with participation from DOCOMO Digital, Henry Ritchotte and additional investors.

Comet.ml, a New York City-based machine learning platform, raised $2.3m in seed funding. The round was led by Trilogy Equity Partners with participation from Two Sigma Ventures, Founders Co-Op, Fathom Capital and Techstars Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Yuval Neeman, Partner at Trilogy Equity Partners, will join Comet.ml’s Board of Directors and Matt Jacobus, Two Sigma’s Former CTO and a Venture Partner at Two Sigma Ventures, will join as a board observer.

Diaceutics, which is headed by Belfast man Peter Keeling, has secured mezzanine financing from two partners, WhiteRock Capital Partners and Silicon Valley Bank. The funding will allow the company to invest in the data analytics services that it provides to pharmaceutical clients and continue to expand its global laboratory network. The company will also look to grow the internal team of experts to deliver data-driven insights designed to improve diagnostic testing that benefits patients.
