Tegile Systems, Inc. announced $33 million in additional funding.

With business growth and increased interest in all-flash storage deployments, the funding was led by Western Digital Corp. and current investors such as Meritech Capital Partners, Capricorn Investment Group, and Cross Creek Capital.

Huawei Invests $1 Billion in Public Cloud Platform

Huawei is evolving its cloud business by investing in a public cloud platform. During the company’s annual global analyst summit in Shenzhen, China, this week, Eric Xu, Huawei’s rotating CEO, said the company is committed to working with operators on their cloud services as well as building Huawei’s own public cloud.

Filament Receives $15M in New Funding

Filament, a Reno, Nevada-based provider of wireless industrial networks, raised $15m in venture capital funding.

The new round, which brought total funding to $21.8m, was led by Verizon Ventures and Bullpen Capital with participation from new investors Intel Capital, JetBlue Technology Ventures, CME Ventures, Lab IX, Backstage Capital, and Tappan Hill Ventures and previous investors Samsung NEXT, Resonant Venture Partners, and Digital Currency Group. In conjunction with the funding, Patrick Walsh, who led the investment for Intel Capital, is joining Filament’s Board of Directors.

Armor Lands $89M In New Funding, Looks To Expand Cloud Security Platform To The Channel

Cloud security platform company Armor has landed $89 million in financing, the company announced Wednesday, and will now set its sights on further expanding its channel strategy.

The equity financing round was led by ST Telemedia (STT), who will now join The Stephens Group as a joint lead shareholder, the Richardson, Texas-based company said.

Portworx Raises $20M to Enhance Its Enterprise Offering

Container storage and data services company Portworx announced today that it has raised $20 million in a Series B led by Sapphire Ventures as well as new investors including GE Ventures. Mayfield and other Series A investors also contributed, bringing the company’s total funding to $28.5 million.

Portworx will use funding to expand on the integrations that it already has with container services like Docker and Kubernetes and to build new ones. It also plans to grow its sales and partner network, said Murli Thirumale, CEO and co-founder at Portworx.

Cohesity Raises $90 Million, Total at $190 Million

Cohesity, Inc., in hyperconverged secondary storage, announced its largest funding to date, raising over $90 million in a Series C round co-led by investors GV (formerly Google Ventures) and Sequoia Capital.

Cisco Investments and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP (HPE) also participated in this round as strategic investors, joining Accel Ventures, ARTIS Ventures, Battery Ventures, DHVC (formerly Danhua Capital), Foundation Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Trinity Ventures and Wing Venture Capital.

$30 Million in Funding for Qumulo, Total at $130 Million

Qumulo, Inc., in scale-out storage, closed $30 million in funding, bringing the total to date over $130 million.

The oversubscribed C Prime funding round was led by new investors Northern Light Venture Capital and other strategic investors, with participation from existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), Madrona Venture Group, Top Tier Capital Partners, and Tyche Partners.

Leonovus Closes $1.3 Million Financing Round

Leonovus Inc.http://www.leonovus.com raised gross proceeds of $1.3 million in the initial closing of its previously announced non-brokered private placement for units of the company at a price of CDN $0.05 per unit.

Each unit is comprised of one common share in the capital of the company and one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant is exercisable into one common share at a price of CDN $0.10 per common share for a period of 24 months from the date of issuance.

Hedvig Raises $21.5 Million Series C

Hedvig, Inc. announced the close of a $21.5 million series C funding round with new investments from EDBI, the dedicated investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board and Hewlett Packard Pathfinder, part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

The round also included expanded investments from Atlantic Bridge Ventures, including its Oman Technology Fund, and contributions from existing investors True Ventures and Vertex Ventures.
