Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard platform for cloud applications, today announced Google has joined as a Gold Member. Google joins EMC, HPE, IBM, Pivotal, SAP, VMware and more than 60 other technology innovators as a Foundation member. Through its membership, Google will continue to encourage companies to adopt open source technologies in order to realize the full benefits of high quality, agile software delivery in the cloud.
“Our goal with GCP is to build an open cloud for all businesses and we see active participation with the open source community as an essential part of this mission,” said Brian Stevens, VP Cloud Platforms, Google. “We have been working on several CFF projects this year, including optimizing Cloud Foundry on GCP. We look forward to our continued work together to drive the development of open source cloud solutions for enterprises.”
