Management GUIs

At Calsoft, as part of our integrated approach we provide graphical user interface designing services for various kinds of applications.  Calsoft has undertaken multiple projects for GUI design and development for clients. Some of the show case projects are as below:

UI programming for a backup product
The client provides high performance Rapid Recovery appliances that enable small and mid-sized enterprises to quickly regain access to the systems and information that keep them in business when these systems inevitably fail. At Calsoft, we designed a new GUI for the customer's Windows client. In the client's back up product the logic of running the GUI and presenting it were meshed together. During the course of this project the GUI was updated and the screens were designed using MFC. The screens were integrated with the logic to drive the UI as specified by the customer's requirements.

Management console for a back up product
The project involved re-designing and re-doing the management GUI for a backup product aimed at making the GUI a platform independent Java Application. The project required to support WebStart, internationalization, Centralized logging, Job Scheduler, User Preferences & Advance reporting. Our team worked on different technologies like Swing, XML, Web Start, Ant, Log4j and Xerces.

Front end GUI for a storage management product
The team at Calsoft built a complete storage management product including Front End GUI. This was a critical portion of the project & involved 120+ screens

GUI Automation Test Suite for VMWare Workstation
The project was aimed at designing and developing an automation suite using Visual Test for performing tests inside the Virtual Machines

Management Console using MMC technology
The main task was to develop a MMC plug-in for management of RNS' product. The product involved reliable network multi-cast and broadcast protocols. The RNS product was used by firms developing information services products for companies in financial services industry etc. that require real-time but reliable information. The management console was designed using MMC, which had a total of 70 sophisticated screens.
