I have been involved with Calsoft for the development of an iSCSI ( a Storage Area Networking protocol)  software based accelerator. I was involved with Calsoft, Inc. in the Multi-Computer System (MCS) development program. The centerpiece of this program is the creation of a new class of enterprise servers, Multi-Computer System (MCS), which integrates HP value-add technology with industry standard high volume components and provides scalability, availability, manageability beyond standard Wintel SMP server platforms. Among the key MCS technology contributors, Calsoft was the principal contributor on the MCS Global File System, Global Name Service, and Intermediate NDIS driver for the Global Network Subsystem.

Specifically in the area of Global File System, Calsoft took the lead in the architecture definition and implementation of the global lock manager and virtual disk driver. In addition, Calsoft was the liaison to Veritas, who supplies the base NT file system and cluster file system technology for MCS.

Calsoft also architected and implemented global spinlock support as part of the Global Name Service support.
In addition to the NDIS driver, Calsoft assisted in setting up SPECWeb test-bed for system performance analysis.
Until my departure from HP early this year, under my direction, Calsoft has managed the project superbly. The deliverables have always been on time or ahead of schedule in some case. The quality of the work is excellent.

From the MCS program perspective, we could not have achieved significant milestones without Calsoft contribution. The technology we have developed will make its way into the HP future products and become examples of contributions which make it out of the garage.

In my new start-up venture, I am looking forward to continuing the relationship which have been building from my IBM days thru HP."
