Engagement models
By ensuring flexible engagement models, Calsoft offers its clients the freedom to choose the appropriate model based on their long-term goals and immediate requirements. The flexibility we offer provides our clients better control and risk mitigation.
A system software-consulting firm with a soul of a product company, Calsoft is able to offer unparalled technical prowess and technology understanding in its domain. This helps gives our client an advantage through higher productivity through parallel development efforts and cost optimizations through lower resource ownership expenditure and overheads.
At the outset of our discussions, the key team leaders of Calsoft understand and evaluate the project requirements, project complexities, and the volatility of the client's business needs. Based on this, Calsoft identifies the appropriate engagement model by assessing technology, business and manpower risks and the resources needed to mitigate them.
Once technology, business and workforce risks are assessed and mitigated, Calsoft recommends an appropriate engagement model for the relationship to start.
The Engagement Models offered are:
- Pure Offshore Deployment
- Pure Onsite Deployment
- Offshore - Onsite Blend
- Offshore Development center (ODC)
Pure Offshore Deployment
Calsoft's pure offshore deployment works best in a mature environment, with stable requirements and defined delivery milestones. Our entire team dedicated to the client's requirement is based offshore. A small onshore team may interact with the client for a short duration for knowledge acquisition and transfer.
Pure Onsite Deployment
In the Pure ODC, the entire team is based onsite to respond to the client's highly fluid requirement. A long term scooping activity, which may be a part of this model, organizes the process of product development.
Offshore- Onsite Blend
In this model the team is divided between the client's onsite office and our offshore office. The major portion of the work is completed offshore. Activities like information gathering, training are carried out onsite whereas the actual project is executed offshore. This model is more cost effective than the pure onsite model.
Offshore Development Center (ODC)
The Calsoft ODC team works as an extension of the client's development and testing team. After a range of comprehensive interactions with the client, a relevant ODC engagement is set up, which may be long-term, consistent, or annuity.
A dedicated team assigned for the duration of the entire engagement, who works as the client's own development or testing team. The ODC initiates a comprehensive set of interactions between the Client and Calsoft.
The interactions are is a modified Offsite – Onsite blend model, except that it is meant for long term use and follows the annuity pattern of contracts.
